Edit: AT&T chat is closed on the weekend I called reseller support and they refused to cancel the line and said I had to wait 30 days. I had to port out to another carrier.- Call *PORT on the new iPhone to get a porting pin. You also need your wireless account number (displayed when you login to att.com).

- We haven't found a way to unlock the iPhone 14/15 like we did the 13 because it has an eSIM assigned that gets activated on boot, and no physical SIM card. Also the phones are showing Verizon locked and not flex reseller policy. It will automatically unlock 60 days post activation however.

I did contact ATT yesterday. The agent created a ticket for unlock request and today I received an email that my ticket is closed saying "we are unable to process your request at this time. Please visit us at att.com/deviceunlock to submit a request online". They didn't provide any additional details to explain why they are unable to unlock.
My guess is that they do have our phones in their database, but they don't want to unlock, because we haven't fullfilled the unlock reqs. The database message might just be a wrong message displayed. Just my guess.
Even if I sell my phone locked to ATT , I think to sell it with clear conscience I need to clear up the IMEI issue before selling it. My only other option is trade in and I think trade ins suck right now
Yes, as mentioned in the thread they jacked up prices of s23 to make it not a good deal. I think it was $799 around Black Fri when GC first went live
