I think many of the tools you can get for $40-80 hacked individually. so if u are able to get all the hacked deals, you will be paying about $300-$330, very close to this price. So if u want every single items, this deal is okay. But if some of the item is not needed, it might be better to hack the tools individually
This is a very good deal especially since you don't have to hack. This is the starter set most people should get. Many plumbers/electricians have these tools
you beat me to it. i was about to write the same thing. lol.
light is $28 on amazon. $10 on facebook marketplace in my area
multi tool is $68 on amazon from an authorized reseller. $60 on ebay
new, in retail packaging. no hacking needed.
give me $50 per light and i'll get you enough to light up JFK airport
I'm not seeing the M12 Fuel version of the multi tool on Ebay or Amazon for less than $120? Could you post a link? Fuel Hackzall also priced around $100....

I wish I had the foresight to buy this when I first bought the house. Instead, I've bought these items individually and hacked them and paid about the same price except all the trips to HD to return the extra batteries. However, I must say that if you hack these individually, they sometimes come with a battery along with an extra battery pack, and somehow I've ended up with 3 of the 2.0 mAh and 2 of the 4.0 mAh batteries.
Long story short if you are looking to buy into the Milwaukee brand (after research I've seen that these are the best), then get these. They're brushless since they're all the M12 FUEL line.
BTW the stubby impact driver and the oscillating tool are my absolute favorites amongst all of my tools. What in the world was I doing before I found my way to an impact driver???
If you don't want to spend the extra then you can buy into the Ryobi family for 1/3 to 1/2 of the price.
$140 starter kit (drill and impact driver with 2 bateries and charger)
$80 multitool
$60 hackzall
$50 light
Total: $330.
So this is a good price in my opinion
$50 for the light is pretty outrageous considering it's $26 on Amazon right now without any hack. And incase anyone is wondering the saw is pretty underpowered imo then again so are all 12v sawzalls. It's good for quick small cuts through 1/2' emt or any pvc/plastic and maybe pruning.

Kits of this price/arrangement haven't been the typical deal.. This set's M12 fuel hammer drill + impact driver + hackzall + oscillating multitool makes for a pretty killer homeowner toolkit - compact, and capable.
Two things would really sweeten this deal: HO 2.5 + 5.0 batteries, and maybe a jigsaw instead of the light. They'd probably charge $400+ then, but they know the larger sets at $400+ have limited appeal. Better to sell more of the ~$199 kits and sprinkle in a one or two 2.5 / 5.0s to sweeten the deal.
