Still works great. My kid has been using it for school homework for 2 years everyday. It does fine for basic school hw.

Kampanio benchmark is 3949
This Celeron has around 1500 benchmark, much worse performance

Check your school district website. Mine dumps this for $10-20 every now and then again.

The N4020 with 4gb still works just fine for 99% of tasks that people use Chromebooks for. I tried this Sammy a few years ago and ended up swapping it out for a 11.6" Lenovo 3 with the exact same specs. This Sammy is kinda flimsy and had ghost touches whenever I carried it around by the right side of the keyboard. I really like these inexpensive 11.6" Chromebooks for couch duty and also use them quite a bit for work. I haven't touched a Windows lappy since 2013.

Deal worked for me. Tough to say no to an $80 computer, for the curiosity alone!

The price alone looks good but it is not a good deal.

I checked my note and found out Target sold a touch screen Chromebook for $100 last December. The CPU is AMD A6 which is similar to Celeron N4020.

And you did not have to pay $100 last year because Target had other promotions going on.
My point is to wait until December because stores want to get rid of most outdated electronics by year end.

The spec of that Chromebook last December:
Acer 11.6" Convertible Touchscreen Chromebook Laptop - AMD A-Series Processor - 4GB RAM - 32GB Flash Storage - Black - R721T-62ZQ

I bought this 2 years ago from WM for $87. It's a fine little Chromebook, and it's fairly easy to install Ubuntu on (though you need to physically open it to disconnect the battery). Charges via USB-C for those who like to keep things simple.

With the other deals this year on newer hardware, I'm not sure I would pay this price for it now, but it was a great deal back then.

Not bad for a cheap $80 laptop if you need it for international travel and don't want to risk a real machine.
Celeron N4020 is only 1500 passmarks, so don't expect high-end performance, but it is sufficient for watching videos, listening to music, and all but the most demanding office productivity stuff.

768p resolution sucks for working, but fine for videos.
11 inch is great for travel.
4G means you won't be running virtual machines, so the ability to use android programs will work for the lighter programs, but not the hogs.
I'm tempted - really tempted to just buy this for a travel laptop. Of course, I would wipe ChromeOS (we are a non-google household) and load a light Linux distro. Let me see if that's possible on this Chromebook.

According to this table: https://mrchromebox.tech/#devices The Samsung Chromebook 4 should support running alternate OSes and supports legacy boot.

$80 is less than the keyboard I need replaced on a much faster, 13inch Toshiba CB2 that was the best travel laptop I've ever owned. I miss that laptop, but it cost 6x more than this.

Ah .. no HDMI output - that makes this a no-go for me. I connect up the laptop to hotel TVs via long HDMI cable.

I don't either. Just more smudged screens to me.
