$3 (Google Unlock) + $330 (830 - 500 off) as device payments over 24 months + $48 ($2 x 24 taxes and fees for 2 years) + $10 (activation fee) + ~83 (tax on full purchase price assuming 10% tax).
Total ~ 474
Won't be able to unlock until 2 years later once device is paid off so unless you are planning to use that line its probably not the best deal around.
Pixel 6 Pro gives $100 TIV (compared to $300 a month ago) and is worth $200 to $250 MV. Bad trade-in.
Pixel 7 Pro has $300 TIV but a MV of $350 to $400. Not as bad as the 6 Pro...but it's like paying a person for YOU to give THEM a loan.
Activation fee is cancelled out by CB.
Now they're offering $500 off the $800 price (for a sub-total of $300), minus your trade-in value. The current trade-in value for the Pixel 7 Pro is still $300, but for the 6 Pro, it's $100.
So, if you are trading in the Pixel 6 Pro, it's the same price as at launch ($200 after trade-in) - but you're not getting the free Pixel Watch 2 that Google was offering before October 16th. If you're trading in the Pixel 7 Pro, it's $200 cheaper, but again, you're not getting the Pixel Watch 2. But, the upgrade is basically free. $800-500-300=0.
Yeah, the trade-in values suck (especially for the Pixel 6 Pro.) But the extra $500 discount more than makes up for it in almost all cases. If you're trying to trade in a phone with a value of $100 or less, skip the trade-in and keep the $500 discount, and then sell your old phone yourself. If you can't get more than $100 for it, you're doing something wrong.
Terrible reckless experience. JUST NOT WORTH IT. Spent almost 150-200 hours over 10 months, but didn't give up. Check their BBB review on this scam
But I wont disagree with you about their customer service if you have any problems. It took them a ridiculous six weeks to fix an issue where the IMEI on my old phone was incorrectly labeled by their system as not eligible for trade-in. But they did eventually make it right by honoring the trade-in value as a promotional credit (and I got to keep my old phone, too!) - but it took countless dozens of VERY frustrating hours on the phone with them and being escalated again and again up through their chain of command.
You're lucky that your family don't cancel the internet, because you need to have either internet or phone/voice from them to qualify for XFinity Mobile. Otherwise, they charge you an additional $25 per line per month. I used to have their internet, but canceled. But once they increased the per line penalty to $25 each, I ended up getting their phone/voice service on a land line I literally never use just to save the penalty on four lines.
I go with this plan and buy Iphone 15 Pro max which priced at $1199 and with No-trade in the break up is as follows -
Phone price i pay in total- $1199-$500: $700 (after 24 months rebate)
Monthly plan payment - $45/month for 1 line and if I add 2 lines its $30/month for each line.
My queries -
Does this $30/month for 2 lines is only for first 12 months? is it increase after 12 months?
Do we need to have Xfinity internet to be eligible for this plan? and do we need to be Xfinity internet customer for all 24 months to retain this monthly rate?
I am currently on visible and paying $25/month. so wanted to understand if this really good for me
Yes, you have to have xfinity internet to be eligible for xfinity mobile service. They used to allow voice/(land) phone, but I'm not sure if they do for new customers. (It counts for me, but I could be grandfathered into an old deal.) As soon as you drop internet or voice service, they'll charge you a $25 PER LINE PER MONTH fee on your phone lines. It's generally cheaper to just keep one of their services to avoid the penalty charge.
This mobile service started out as a perk to keep subscribers as more and more people cut the cord. Now, it's quickly becoming a major revenue stream for them.
Again, the best deal they offer is the pay by the gig deal - as long as you don't use a ton of data, since you're (it's in the name!) paying by the gig. Your gigs are combined on all of your lines, so new lines don't really cost anything extra (other than the $2-3 monthly regulatory fees) other than the data that they use. I keep my phones connected to my home wifi when at home and at work, and don't stream videos while on cell service only, and manage to stay at around 1-3 gigs per month. So, my bill usually runs between $20-60/month for multiple lines - plus new device fees. But you do have to be disciplined in how you use your data, which is a hassle many people don't want to deal with or worry about. but the peace of mind that comes with unlimited plans comes at a cost.
Tello option is the cheapest I can find
The iPhone 15 will be locked to XM for 24 months. If your wife also has service on XM - then you can swap around; or if she's open to switching, you can port her number and get the iPhone 15 directly.
