I've been following this thread because I'm in the same boat as a couple of people on here. I have the plus subscription from last year for Netflix and mine's going to run out on the 14th I've already canceled it I dug around on the site in the terms and here's the fine print I came up with and it doesn't mention anything about getting rid of your current phone plan and having to upgrade to a new one you just have to be a current Verizon Mobile customer and to make sure that your old plan is canceled or has ran out without being renewed. Here it is:

If you have an existing Netflix account that was not purchased on +play, you can link it to this offer as described in Netflix service terms below. If you are currently enrolled in Netflix through +play, you will need to cancel your current subscription and reach the end of the billing cycle in order to subscribe to the Bundle Subscription. If you are currently enrolled in either the "Buy one, get one free" or "12 months Netflix on us" Netflix promotions offered through +play, you will not be eligible for this Bundle Subscription until your current Netflix promotion expires.

Once you activate Netflix, it stays active until the end of the year Sub, whether you have Verizon or not. I did this deal last year and switched to FirstNet months ago. Still have Netflix until next month. just make sure you turn off auto renewal.

If I want to keep my current Netflix profile does it matter that my Verizon account is associated with a different email than Netflix? Our Verizon account is associated with my email/phone, and our Netflix account is associated with my wife's email/phone. So, I wasn't sure if I bought this if it would create a new Netflix profile or is it just gives you a promo code or something...

Thanks! Had been paying for each separately (about $35 a month). After purchase it appears that both sites have seamlessly switched over to being covered through Verizon.

If I am doing +play credits for xbox and cancel xbox to get netflix and xbox bogo are the monthly credits applied to that or do I have to use them on something else?

I stopped my league pass this year. The blackouts just got too frustrating. Anything nationally broadcast is blacked out. Anything in your regional market is blacked out. Anything in your cable market is blacked out. It just isn't a complete cord cutting solution, and serves no purpose if you maintain cable.

I don't get the Netflix + PP option when I log in, probably because my NFL + Netflix is still active.

Anyone try to unsubscribe from their current package under the manage tab?

I have the NFL+Netflix bundle from last year, I have unsubscribed from the current package (because I didn't want it to renew automatically) however it is still active until 12/14 for me - I hope that once the subscription runs out on 12/14 that I will be able to see these new bundles.

I have this deal from last year and can confirm that you cannot buy an additional Netflix slot - this is because your subscription is managed through Verizon and to make changes you are directed to Verizon, which Verizon doesn't give you the option to add additional users to your Netflix subscription.

Yup - I feel your pain, between Netflix stopping the password sharing and being on this plan through Verizon, I had to have my Mom setup her own account instead of just adding her onto my account.

From the Netflix Verizon Package FAQ:

If you are the account owner with extra member slots and you want to change your payment method to a partner package, you can link your account as instructed by Netflix and your provider. However, we will cancel your extra member(s) immediately once activation is complete and the extra member(s) will receive an email confirmation.

OUCH. netflix really stifling our creativity here! HAHA. appreciate all the research on this you did. $12 bucks, at premium, ain't all that bad.
