The Chase Prime Visa is literally one of the most PREDATORY, borderline ILLEGAL cards in the entire credit card industry.
Charge $1000 on this card, pay off $900. You should only be charged interest on $100, but the interest is for the full $1000. Yeah, GTFO. Show me any other charge card that does this.
People make mistakes with auto-pay. Sometimes despite one's best efforts or a family medical emergency, you miss paying off the full balance one month. I get this card has no annual fee and Chase has to make their profits somehow, but this is legit the most predatory way to do it. Zero-forgiveness in this card, so if you do sign up, make sure you never under any circumstance miss the full payment, even by missing one cent or by one day.
I'd rather carry Chase Freedom Flex + Discover IT cards (both with no annual fee), take advantage of staggered 5% cashback on all Amazon purchases for two quarters of a calendar year (including this holiday quarter), and just not deal with the BS.
A lot of you out there are chasing a $200 gift card carrot, but the 100% accrued balance interest penalty stick may hit you back a lot harder in the long run...
Declined with an over 800 credit score.
If you visit the page for this, you can do a pre-qualify check before actually applying.
Also, right after you get approved, you can grab a referral link to have friends/family use and you can get another $50 per each approved referral. (Up to $500)

Does anyone know if the Earn 5% back at Amazon.com points is the same as the Chase ultimate reward points or does amazon have their own points system that I don't know of? Thanks
After having this card for close to a year, I canceled it. Now, if you spend a lot on Amazon, this card could be for you. However, I had excellent credit when I applied and I got about a 20% interest rate. And I was in the upper half of the interest rate range! Figure that one out while having excellent credit!! When I asked a manager at Chase if I could be reviewed for a possible better interest rate, I was basically told that wasn't a possibility and the interest rate could possibly change, but no real rhyme or reason. I asked her what sense that made of my high interest rate and she did not have an answer So, if you decide to get this card and have very good or excellent credit, don't think that you'll get a better rate than someone with poor or average credit. What garbage that is. Needless to say, I canceled my card. You should too, until Amazon uses another bank.
There are many reports from people who were over Chase's 5/24 being approved for this (some at 10+/24), and people believe it's exempt from the rule. You still get denied if you had opened too many cards recently though.

Chase Ink requires me to spend $8K in 3 months to get that bonus. I don't have expenditures that high, especially those that I can charge... and even if I did, I'd have to re-route how I pay for those expenses, etc. And maybe some of those expenses are ineligible toward the total... And then there's the annual fee, which means I need to cancel it at some point. Do I need to prove I'm a business owner?
Some people do not want to have to work too hard for it.Compl
Completely agree! $200 SUB with no min spend requirements? That should count for something.
I've done my share of churning and MS to meet min spend, and it gets tiring. The hobby isn't for everyone.
I'm only getting $60 offer. I'm not prime but I have an offer to get 30 days free. In anyone's experience, if I sign up for the free 30 days would the offer increase to $200? Thanks ahead
Does anyone know if you apply and get approved can you immediately buy on Amazon with the card? I've got a purchase I'd like to make for a great sale going on (Roborock)
Received letter from Chase stating that I was declined because I have the basic Amazon Visa card and Chase does not allow both.
Currently in dispute for a hard pull because either Chase and or Amazon should have made a full disclaimer/disclosure that customers with a basic Amazon Visa card were ineligible for the offer.
All Chase cards have the 5/24 rule, you can't open more than 5 credit cards within 24 months. If you were denied with a high credit score, this is most likely why
