Can't wait for the v2 to hit this price! The lack of multi input split screen is really a bummer for this one
V2 lets you show multiple inputs as split screen. V1, only one at a time and splits built in apps.

Maybe someone here can explain the value of this monitor. It's HUGE, yes, but "only" 4k? Why would I want a monitor this large that could only display the same amount of content as my much smaller 32" monitors that I can use two of?

I hear that v2 has split screen it doesn't seem any better than buying some cheap 1080p monitors…

When you're at 55" seems to me it should be called a TV at that point.

This is a very niche product. As a computer monitor I don't understand how someone could use it with a normal setup. You'd need to stand back way further than normal. Like sitting on a couch with a wireless keyboard in your lap. It would work nicely as a gaming console screen (PS5/Xbox) since you're not tied to a keyboard/mouse. But to answer your question, 4K in a 32" screen means small text, icons, etc. 4k on 55" would make 4K on Windows much easier to use, read, etc. That's the mighty advantage it has. But not many consumers have a setup to use it properly It's a show piece too for a room.

Way too big for practical use for me personally. I don't fit the niche group that could use this practically.

I use a Samsung 55" curved tv at 100% scaling in Windows (4k res). Had to upgrade video card to be able to handle HDMI 4K60 with 4:4:4 subpixel output to get rid of color fringing around text.

Might upgrade to the Arc V2 version once pricing is below $1000.

Also, there were a lot of image issues with the v1. V2 addresses these issues by introducing a display port.

I just bought a 42-inch LG C3 and was feeling a little regret after seeing this deal. Reading up on it and seeing people's thoughts about it have made me feel better though. Hopefully they iterate on this and make improvements because this thing is awesome in concept.

you made a poor choice. The Odyssey Ark is AWESOME. 42" C3 is nice but non curved screen is yucky at 42", neck craning for days. Unless you got the 42" C3 FLEX which is a curved screen in which case you made the correct choice

VA panel for $1500…no thanks. You can buy a mid-level OLED tv or a high end, better equipped LG 45" OLED gaming monitor (240hz with lower response time and better color) for $900. This not only isn't a deal, it's a ripoff.

LG 45" OLED 240hz 800r would have been an even better choice IMO and is currently $900 at Best Buy when you purchase $49/yr Best Buy Plus.

I'm a video editor and I'm working on PC and MAC at the same time. I am interested in this product that can handle four inputs. Currently, we are using Samsung 49RG model. I'm comparing it to the FLEX model.
