I have the 100 ft kit but did a lot of research beforehand. The power supply included in the kits will only allow for the max of 150 feet. If you attempt to chain additional strings, the lights will flicker or not even light up from what I've read. Solution is to buy multiple kits and plug them into separate outlets and use the app to sync the different kits so they behave as one.

I own 30 different Govee products and I love them all and I love the company and their customer service is second to none. Govee hosts their own products on Amazon and works with Amazon. That's why the prices are the same but they are not always exactly the same. If you plan on buying more Govee products in the future, or you think you might, you won't get rewards points buying on Amazon but you will from their website FYI

Has anyone found a working extension that is actually instock? It is crazy that Govee does not sell the extension.

Does govee make an outdoor light to wrap around a tree near patio that I can leave up year round? Bought I different brand that broke in a few months. Didn't see anything on Amazon from govee. TIA.

What type of fasteners did you use? Do you have a link of what worked well for you?
I purchased these and they worked great:

I don't have these lights so cannot comment there, but what I use for regular outdoor Christmas lights is these: Holidaylighthooks.com
They've worked really well for the last couple of years. Can hook over the gutters and be crimped down or used under shingles.
Thanks for the link but I have flat metal with small holes on the underside of where the roof line extends over the house and where the gutter begins.
The hooks won't do me any good, but maybe I can search for other adhesive options that will hold the lights and wires in place.

The 3m adhesive isn't that great for me. I staple gun every two lights without piercing the wire. And super glueing the hard to reach spots. Hasn't come down yet. With the change in temperature those adhesive won't last long
i have had no issues with the 3M tape on mine and they are using the strong VHB tape which is the best.

My roof is kind of complicated. How do you handle breaks in your roof? Can you turn off certain lights?

I put these up last Saturday after putting out off since July, thinking it would be hard, but it was really straight forward and easy. If you have the ladder to do it, you can definitely do it yourself. My bit of advice: I couldn't screw the screws directly into the eaves when putting up the clips, so I drilled a hole first then screwed them in.
Did the same thing when they ended on a seam.

Do you have a 3d printer? Saw some really good options for that.
I do but I haven't mastered printing on PETG yet. I don't think I'd trust PLA for outdoor long term. If I can't find something store bought, that's a good idea and I will ask a friend.

Yes, I have a 100' and a 150'. You can sync multiple controllers in the Govee app
