    I have a S340 mounted on a tree in my front yard and i really like it. The zoom is pretty amazing and i really dont have any complaints yet. I guess we will see how well the solar power works this coming winter, but so far its worked great. The AI works pretty good on it but now i have it connected to my homebase 3. This camera can also do follow me which is pretty awesome. I have mine mounted by my front sidewalk so anyone who comes to my house or walks buy it follows and records them. Great for Neighborhood Watch!

    I have this. And it recharges great when in direct sunlight, I have about 3 hours of sunlight on it and it stays at 100%or above 90% depending on how many times someone triggers it. It's motion activated.

    I like this camera a lot. If you don't have any sunlight, it won't recharge and you'll either have to take it down to charge it or have to attach a super long extension. Cord from the inside of your house and let it charge but that seems crappy as well.

    But I have no complaints. I have several eufy products and this is amazing for above my front door facing my front yard.

    I'd like to purchase this to mount it on a tree as well - it will be overlooking the sidewalk in front of my home where passerby's keep leaving their trash (Sbux cups, doggie poop bags, etc...) I only have Ring products set up on my property now and have some questions, maybe stupid ones - what software/program do you need to view the footage recorded from this camera? And is this motion based only or does it record continuously?

    Thoughts on this Reolink camera [amazon.com] vs. the Eufy in the above deal? Reolink is also on sale and I have a 5% coupon showing off sale price...

    All you need is the Eufy app to view/control .The solar power cameras don't have the continuous recording feature. Plus you need home base 3 for any camera that supports continues recording.

    Reolink is complete and utter garbage. Their lenses are ok but their software is trash and that is that. It makes their PTZ feature, or auto follow a complete dud. What makes Eufy good is they have good hardware but their software is constantly updated to fix bugs, detection issue or improvements as a whole.

    They dont, but if it makes any difference to you - if you connect these to the home base you will have an INSANE amount of range. I dont know of any other camera system that can do this: connect your homebase to your wifi/ethernet, then connect this camera or any other eufy camera to the home base, then walk 200 feet out and get a perfect connection signal without any interruption. I have an s340 mounted in this way and it works without an issue. I believe someone on YT tested a camera being 400 feet away while still working fine. That gives you so much in terms of mounting points, coverage, etc.
