Mind you, this was the "1st gen" of Samsung's Ultrawide QLED monitors. If you want go with a VS Panel, I would recommend the G9 Odyssey or the Odyssey Neo. the Neo in particular is probably the best Ultrawide VS monitor, close to OLED for "True blacks", with the brightness and crisper txt of a VS Display

FYI, if you're planning to use this for productivity (office), you'll be disappointed with the text clarity.

The Neo is almost twice as much as this. 49 ultrawide is a game changer and this is a great price. Bought a 34 before getting a 49 and wish I would've gone straight to 49.

This is great for office use. It's certainly a hefty monitor though, coming at almost 40 lbs.

How does this compare to the model listed at Costco for $749? Looks like model number is one digit off (Newegg is LC49RG90SSNXZA, Costco is LC49RG92SSNXZA)

It has a stand that is decent enough(if it's the same as on the NEO). But if you want to put it on a monitor arm you're going to want to go with an Ergotron HX or Humanscale M10. They can handle the weight and the curve.

Last year I bought a 48" LG oled and game on it (d4)

Gotcha, I didn't want to spend $400 on a monitor mount but it looks like I have to :/ . Hopefully black friday or cyber monday will see some discounts.

Recommend another curved wide monitor for work that has good text clarity? Looking to buy one for my home office and I use Microsoft Excel and Access a lot. Another poster mentioned Odyssey Neo having good text clarity. Thanks!
