Went with the build as is, only got a 3 pack of color fans, added a keyboard, mouse, headset, and the free avatar game I'm sure my son wont play. And with that, I'm done shopping for my 16yr old before Thanksgiving. Thanks for posting this. This is what SD is all about.

I have a very dusty room. Do watercooled pcs still use intake fans for air?

Thoughts on upgrading power supply or is this sufficient as is?
It's sufficient, but since it's a no-name unknown manufacturer it's probably garb. Get the RM850x SHIFT 80 PLUS Gold for 53$ more (A-tier high end PSU).

Remember, the PSU is the most important component in a build.

I have the same GPU and CPU combo with slightly slower ram. I admit I'm not familiar with the CyberPower's quality for AIOs, so assuming that "MasterLiquid Lite 240mm" is at least decent... this is a really good deal. It's a beast of a combination for under $1400.
The master liquid series is from Cooler Master, so even if it's got Cyberpowers logo it will be an Asetek style cooler. Honestly for this price, it's a good choice.

I have been playing with the builder, and mostly settling for the r7 7700 cpu instead.
Also chose a different case, apevia predator, with 4 fans. And added the USB win11, and 1 year shipping free. $1393 - 5%

Is there a reason not to upgrade CPU to 7900X for $10 more? Mainly looking for CAD rig and not much for gaming. Also, can anyone comment on the PSU and if it should be swapped for a better one?
Not sure you noticed this our not ... but be careful when you select the "upgrade CPU to 7900X for $10 more" you are not getting the same configuration. For example
HDD is changed to
HDD: 512GB Intel® 660P SERIES PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD - Seq R/W: Up to 1500/1000 MB/s, Rnd R/W up to 90/220k
POWERSUPPY is changed to
POWERSUPPLY: 600 Watts - Standard 600Watts 80 Plus Gold high-efficient Power Supply
VIDEO is changed to
VIDEO: AMD Radeon™ RX 6500 XT 4GB GDDR6 Video Card [-342] (Single Card).

Pretty good deal. I have a 7700x/4070ti combo but this one seems great if you are a gamer.

Yes they do. The air intake/exhaust is distributed across the radiator and cools the cpu.

Thanks for all the input guys. I ordered one for my son, it should be quite the upgrade for him. There may be better deals but this one is slick enough.

Remember to add the $19 accessories. They are well worth it.

Does anyone know if I pick a modular power supply, they ship with the unplugged extra power supply cables? They are not interchangeable so if I need to upgrade later, I need them.
I can't remember if I got mine when I ordered last year, on vacation and can't look in the basement. Call them and ask. I asked a lot of questions before my purchase.

Novice here. I've been playing with the builder and looking for opinions
Debating on swapping the chassis to CORSAIR ICUE 4000X RGB SERIES ATX and adding 3X 120mm Corsair iCUE fans, or am I better off keeping the Raidmax and adding in the Phanteks RGB fans?
~$79 difference. Any input would be appreciated!

Was pricing this system out for the last month and it was always over $2,000. This deal is over $600 in savings. This is a real good deal.

By my quick guesstimate the parts alone would run about $1400, so that's a pretty good price for a system that allows for some decent upgradability in the future...
Building your own only make sense if you have access to Microcenter deal. Probably comes out to $1250-1350 with MC $470 7800x3d combo. The benefit is mostly in being able to pick your own parts.
