The resolution is 7680x2160 "Dual 4K UHD" so it is essentially pumping out 16,588,800 pixels compared to standard 4K (3840x2160) with 8,294,400 pixels. So about a 2x performance demand on your graphics card over 4K.
The refresh rate of 240Hz as well causes some headaches depending on the GPU used. Nvidia (as of right now) does not even support [tomshardware.com] 240Hz at this resolution with their graphics cards, while AMD does. This is a bit of a quandary as the 4090 is the better GPU on average.
Productivity wise it's a great monitor with massive real estate to utilize. Spreadsheets, programming, documents...etc.
Lastly, Samsung unfortunately still maintains a higher rate of QC issues with their newest tech, so I'd highly recommend price matching this at a retail store like Microcenter or Best Buy if possible along with one of their aftermarket warranties if desired.
In all seriousness, outside of a few issues, such as unable to wake from sleep, back panel peeling off from the massive size, and unable to play games because all the mini maps and info panels are so far off to the side of the screen, the only graphics card in existence that can show 240hz is the Radeon 7900 xtx with its DP 2.1 spec. Even RTX 4090 can only display 120hz.

This is a major pain the ass yes, but to say that you cant play games with this monitor is completely inaccurate.
I find that for FPS games, I'm mainly looking at the middle. The large FOV is just lovely eye-candy.
Sometimes in older games that aren't designed with ultrawide in mind, I've heard that things like in-game maps can be a little far off to the sides. I typically paly 3-5 year-old AAA titles, and haven't had that issue.
For open-world type games (RDR2, GTAV, Flight-Sim), it's truly amazing.

I have the original G9 and fear my 4090 will have issues pushing this monster.

I would also like to connect 4 computers - how does this work exactly, and what is the kvm like? Right now I use 2 4k monitors with a dual HDMI + USB 4k 4 pc kvm switch that works pretty well. I just hit Ctrl Ctrl 1-4 Enter to switch to a PC and my monitors and USB peripherals come with me. If this provides similar functionality I'd be very interested. Thanks!
For KVM I'm just using multiplicity (not sure if this works on linux, my guess is you may need something else), you can share mouse, keyboard, sound, (sound has some issues sometimes) and even display over ethernet. So if I have 2 computers displayed side by side I can move the mouse across like they are the same computer, completly seamless, copy pasten from one to the other etc. The way it works is you just move the mouse over to the computer you want to use, no commands needed. This is ideal if your splitting the screen. For full screen you can use a shortcut to switch controls, or just drag the mouse, but you would need to press some buttons on the monitor to switch the display properly. Most of the time I am using split screen durring work hours.
I have tried a couple other apps but they had problems unlocking my work PC where I am limited from configuring it to not need a ctrl-alt-delete to get to the login screen.
I also tried PowerToys for a software kvm but it failed to send ctrl-alt-delete so I had to go back to using multiplicity.
It's great because the seamless screen and no shortcuts needed to drive 2 computers at once with a keyboard and mouse. You can even copy and paste from one to the other etc.
If your thing is switching displays over at full screen then a KVM like you have might be more ideal, but it would need to be able to display quite the resolution.

The hieght is a standard 4k, 2160 resolution which I found much better than the dual 2k 1440 screen 49" version (for productivity). In fact that is part of the reason I switch to the 57" I don't know of any other screens that go higher without being rotated? For me text is super clear and crisp on this display.
