FWIW, you can also use the same coupon to make the new 1tb black Series S $300 (down $50 from $350 by 10% off then use Red Card to pay for 5% off). Confirmed because I did it today!

You need to redeem Microsoft rewards points for Microsoft gift cards. 91,000 points = $100. Then you'll have a credit balance on your Microsoft account you can pay with.
They have Target Gift Cards also but its $100 for 130,000 points it would cost more.

Not sure why anyone would want this when series x could be had for just a little more. With X and PS5, you are getting more powerful consoles and 4k player and a better value. Some developers already started to exclude games they developed for series s.
Cheaper. Smaller. Great for non-4k tv owners. Still has quick resume. Much more portable.

Everyone snobbin' this little beast being so salty for whatever weird reason. If it don't make sense to you, it means you ain't its target audience.

edit: also wanted to add this is an awesome price for a 'next gen' console. Great for a kid's room or office.

Yep, though with an unoptimized game like Starfield it goes into thermal shutdown after a while. Put a case fan blowing on the intake and it's solid.

Because around a hundred plus is not a little more when talking about a $200+ electronic device

It might be a little more to someone with cash to burn and who sees greater value in somewhat better graphics (albeit not close to what the more costly oc builds can produce). But the series s is not targeted for that audience.

Hope that helps clear things up for you. In addition there are those that find value in this device for, say, a bedroom console with a smaller footprint.

I myself was pleasantly surprised with the series s performance back when the price differential was 300 AGC. 4k is overrated for the living room and I am not as fps sensitive -- hence why I migrated from PC to consoles when the GPU prices were jacked up.

Best deal I got was last BF. Ms store had it for 225 and came with extra controller and headset. Sold oth on ebay for about 60 total. And the best part was I had 250 dollars in MS points. So basically got it for free and 60 bucks in cash.
