Are you using the official Microsoft Xbox wireless adapter or just going bluetooth? I've been using these for years and they've been rock solid using the official adapter. I honestly can't remember a single issue I've ever had with them for PC use.

Bought the same exact controller when it launched. The connection always drops on PC no matter how many firmware updates or new batteries we tried

I read online that the Volt colored sticks turn more of an olive color after about one month use due to rub and dirty thumbs. See pic https://imgur.io/a/LraRo3r i really wanted to get this color but passed because of this.
