Assuming this is still the same quality: Owned a version of this from Costco for about 8 years now. Daily use, only needs charging once every two weeks or so, still razor sharp. Have used it for facial hair and cutting regular hair. Considering it one of those life's best buys with a completely straight face.

I've probably charged this thing once in the year I've owned it. I love it.

Had good luck with this trimmer and have had plenty of them. I use it several times a week. A couple things to consider:

1. As others have said the power button is a bit strange location and can accidentally press when using. I've learned to work around it but it's a flaw in design.

2. The blades have remained as sharp as I got them. I don't use the oil (which they recommend) and still sharp.

3. Due to the button placement if traveling I bring the power cord. Once I didn't and accidentally turned on in my carry on and was dead when I used it. Minor inconvenience.

4. The device itself is pretty hefty and when you hold it, it's noticeably heavier than other trimmers I have used.

5. Battery life is awesome. One of the best I've used and can get several weeks to a month out of it at least. I wish it had a battery reader to know when it's low but just charge it time to time.

Grabbed this and used it today. First the button is recessed so it isn't easy to turn on or off accidentally in use. Secondly there is a hold to lock, which prevents accidental turning on in the case or bags. So those complaints have been solved on this unit.

This thing is pretty quiet. I had an older version of the 3500 and it was loud. This unit is notably heavier than others, which I am assuming is due to its much larger battery capacity. This also cuts really fast and smooth. It almost feels like overkill for my beard because I went through and trimmed the whole thing in about 2 minutes. My older one took at least 10.

It is missing a few attachments you get from amazon like the detail-er. Not a huge deal as this works fine for detail, but you don't get the smaller blade. My favorite attachment is the adjustable beard trimmer which goes 3mm to 7mm. It works even better than my old one that had a dial for adjust ability.

Overall pretty happy with this one.

Still the standard for an all in one groomer. Nothing even comes close, and at this price, it's a no brainer.

if you hold it for about 3 secs it locks it so you can't accidentally turn it on. That way you don't have to worry about it turning on when you pack it for travel etc.
I tried holding it for 3 or more seconds but it doesnt lock it.

Odd. Wonder if they changed something or somehow yours is defective on that end. Maybe see if you can find the manual for your specific version. Would find it hard to imagine they removed the ability to lock on some of them.

Kept playing around and it worked finally. However, its definitely more than 3 seconds...more like 5 seconds. Thanks for the tip.

Ahh good deal. Yeah I couldn't remember exactly how long it was when I wrote the post. 5 secs could be how long it takes on mine too. Either way I'm glad you figured it out!

I went to my local Costco and bought it (saved on shipping). This is great, I used it today on my beard so far. So glad I saw the deal here!

how do you activate the travel lock so that it doesn't turn on in your luggage?
