It's like the difference between a cheese sandwich and a gourmet steak dinner. Which one would you prefer?

Have an open mind to the story (quantum mechanics/ relativity, etc, too) and be ready for adventure. I just watched it again and for the first time in 4k on an oled TV. Wow.. prime steak dinner indeed

Thanks, OP. I've actually never seen Interstellar, but I've heard so many good things about it and this is a good price for almost any 4K movie.

edit: In for 1

Is it worth it getting the 4K disc vs watching on Prime video?

Dammit if you don't buy this movie… it's a great movie.

It all depends on your equipment and setup.
If you're watching on an average display & a soundbar then probably not.

Keep in mind Nolan doesn't care for object based codec/soundtracks so there is no AQ upgrade.

Interesting, i wasn't aware of that...i typically look for an atmos update or something, but I'll remove that as a qualification for Nolan upgrades. Thanks!

There may not be any object based audio (Dolby Atmos or DTS-X), but the lossless DTS-HD MA 5.1 track is absolutely an AQ upgrade and will be miles ahead of the 640kbps Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 garbage you get on streaming. Plus, the picture quality on this 4k release is among the best out there and is certainly better than the bit-starved streaming version.

Is the digital code for MA? I own digital 4K on Prime Video but always forget I have it because it's locked to that one service. Always wanted to own a physical copy of this so will probably end up buying regardless

The first time I watched this movie was in a theater in China back in 2014 after a few of my American friends helped me mule some edibles over. One of the defining moments of my life that I will always look back on fondly, a transcendental experience

It's just worth it for the docking scene. I thought my roof blew up! There was really no time for caution.
