Black Friday deal for $23.36 + tax if you're an Amazon Prime member
Retail price is $34.99
Other reputable retailer is Bed Bath & Beyond for $27.99.
I bought it exactly a year ago for $27.99, so this seems like a good price.
I typically brew on the counter between 18-24 hours and use Aeropress filters in addition to the built-in mesh filter to remove even more grit and fines.

We use a French press to cold brew - drop in the grounds and stir, wait 12-24 hours then drain.
Makes clean up really easy
You can heat it up after it bruise or you can drink a cold.
I'm in front of my sister for spending so much money on it but it tastes very good

you'd be much better off finding better coffee beans than gimmicks.
I'm no sure what's gimmicky about this. I've used it for years. Yeah it's nothing special but it's convenient.

I've been making cold brew at home for years and I much prefer the type of device I linked above vs Toddy or similar.
Edit: in case anyone is interested, my cold brew carafe is 1.5 liters and I make the cold brew by adding 1 1/4 cups ground coffee and fill the rest with water.

You can easily replicate this by putting coffee and water in any container and putting in the fridge/counter for up to 24 hours (I go full 24) and then strain through regular coffee filters into another pitcher. This thing just makes it a bit easier.
I don't like French press due to all the fines getting in there (that's just me though).

Counterpoint: I have used that one and while it is is easier/easier to clean, the cold brew it makes is just not as good. Since it doesn't fully mix the water and grounds, I just can't get the resulting coffee to the strength/concentration that I prefer and I waste coffee trying to get it there (I prefer it VERY strong and concentrated). My sister likes it weaker and values the easier cleanup (although it is not much easier imo) so she uses one of these.

Hmm. I also have pretty bad GERD whenever I steer too far away from keto. My solve for coffee is to go for very dark roasts that don't screw up my ph levels.
This study backs that up as they didn't find noticeable ph level differences between either. What they did find is lower levels of acidic components which potentially could be an irritant to some people. They also found less antioxidants too…and I've noticed that cold coffees do not have the same effect on me (which I assume is more the antioxidants from the oils).
So it's like mitigating one problem by removing one of the best benefits.

I wonder also if it's also the placebo effect: people using stronger roasts for better acidity that are finding cold brew to be superior, and it's actually the roast itself that's doing the job irregardless of the brewing method.
