i suppose this is a decent price, but it has a very small amount of ports compared to most other docks. only one external display port is the biggest limitation i see.

If you want a ethernet with more USB ports, you can get this one, Anker USB C Hub, 565 11-in-1 [a.co], in "Like New" condition for $40 from Anker Direct. Remember to choose the the seller from Anker Direct in "Like New" condition. Otherwise, Amazon sells it for $55.

So if you want one with one HDMI port, the 555 is good at 60 hz at 4k with ethernet. The 553 is good if you want two HDMI ports both at 30 hz at 4k. The first is more for things like the Steam Deck. The 553 is good for multitasking on a laptop with 2 monitors.

If don't mind the lack of an ethernet port, this is handy to have. It does get a little warm when you are using the audio jack but not enough to worry.

If you want Ethernet, I've been using a $20 USBC generic dock meant for steam decks.
There are lots of similar ones on Amazon.

No USB-C out is the killer for me. Only 1 for power input.

Is this useful for a MacBook Pro, or not necessary? I know it's essential for MacBook Air.
