I'd like to have a second '5' for blowing leaves but $200 for a battery is hard to swallow. Probably better to wait for a tool+5 combo deal and sell the bare tool?

Ego is a joke now. Way over priced. with same warranty as Walmart Hart tools. Home Depot has Ryobi 40volt 15" trimmer with 600cfm blower with 4ah bat and charger for $199 Black Friday deal. I say that as a Ego owner of several years a Ridgid, not-Ryobi, owner. My first Ego 2.5ah bat lasted 3 1/2 years and it was hardly used. Then a new Ego trimmer motor crapped out with only ~5 light uses by my 110lb wife.

What, I just paid $210 for an Ego chainsaw, charger, and this battery.

Obviously we don't have time machines but the 5aH battery seems to come with a tool for around this price (or less) fairly regularly so if you don't need it any time soon you can probably pick something else up later on!
