$300 for this is friggin nuts considering what we all know it costs to likely produce it is...
But, that's just me! I typically keep 2 Ego batteries going. One for the usual use and one for more or as a backup (long day in the yard or in case one dies). The 4Ah was a nice "upgrade" for me from my 2-2.5Ah but on smaller tools the 2-2.5Ah is actually better to use given how much lighter it is. May not be much of a difference on some tools but on something like a hedger the added weight is noticed pretty quickly!
If you're really looking to save costs you may be able to find a bundle and sell the rest and keep the battery...
