I had another annual plan from them and it threw away the rest of the time overriding the previous plan.

They were the same exact annual plan on top of each other and I had 6 months or so left.

Ugh, I gave Red Pocket two tries. Never again. Tello treats me right.

Tip to save on tax (ONLY if you are Renewing): Red Pocket sends the activation code via email, so give a shipping address in a no-sales tax state and avoid the taxes.

Doesn't work on new sim purchases as you will need the physical sim to be mailed to you.

Scam scam company. Don't pay for their services you get none. I signed up and prepaid for a year then tried to upgrade service and they just cancelled the rest of the years service I had. I reached out to them 2 or 3 times and got no help. Don't go through this company. Mint mobile or Tello is better services. Their company is a complete ripoff.

Redpocket through eBay is offering prepaid unlimited talk/text/10GB on GSMA (8GB on CDMA or GSMT) high speed data plan for 189.99/year which comes to just under $16/month. It is 48% savings from list price.

Free shipping and returns.

The final price might be different because of tax (which varies based on location).

To those with RP experience, any issues with deprioritization? My whole family has been happy with Mint service in the SF Bay area, but this is double the data for just a few cents more per month.

If everything is unlimited then why is there a data cap?

Technically unlimited data but functionally not even close. The monthly plan is capped to your chosen amount of fast data in 30 days then unlimited I think 64kb thereafter which is not fast enough to be useable. To answer an earlier question I don't remember having to provide an ID.

The rest of the family shouldn't notice a difference. I assume that you will be the one porting the numbers and activating your phones. The website and customer service experience is pretty bad compared to Mint. But once the phones are set up correctly the service works reliably in my experience. I'd probably use Mint if the service was good here, but my kids are young and my wife and I don't use a lot of data. So we've been on RP for years. On price, RP is hard to beat.

Current happy att prepaid customer that is looking to save money on my 2 phones on a 5gb 30 a month plan.

Xfinity has a buy one line get one free offer for 30 a month 20gb unlimited plan. Xfinity used a Verizon's deprioritzed network. This likely doesn't include tax

This red pocket plan looks to be just as cheap and would use att deprioritized

Has anyone made the switch to either one from att prepaid and recommend it or not?

If you can get the Redpocket deal, it's the way to go. Seems to be an email invite only. Last year it was only available to New customers. Been a RP customer for years with multiple lines. If you need more data, check out AT&T prepaid directly thru AT&T. They still offer 16 gb plan per mo prepaid for $25. Tax is about $30 per year depending on where you live. Hard to avoid the tax with any plan. While Verizon data can be faster in some areas, my experience was inconsistent download speeds and slow latency on the Verizon network since they sunset 3g. Others may have had a different experience. Lots of shared family plans out there and would depend on if you want pre or post paid or in need of new phones.
