Not the only one, don't know if these are useless or I don't know how to use them.

I did try the foil-type (blades straight across instead of round) once and did not like it so I always get the three-head models.

I don't like the removable head design of the 5000 series; mine started popping off after a year or so. At least they made the power button smaller and moved it down; it took a long time to learn how not to turn it off while shaving...
As for the shave, it is pretty good for me. I like the moving head of the Norelco shavers.
Oh my word

and I've been using the earlier versions of it for .. wow, decades now.
My experience is that these electric razors will never give you the clean close shave of a plastic razor or steel razor if you're into the fancy stuff
Having said that I've found it to be a quick and easy shave using razors like this in the shower, just rinses clean under the shower water... the razor's battery will inevitably die after one and a half to two years but if you make sure to register the razor with Phillips Norelco they will , after asking you a series of questions, " Did you try plugging the razor into a different outlet?" and stuff like that, send you a prepaid shipping label to mail the defective razor back to them and then they'll mail you either a new razor or a refurbished electric razor and a prepaid shipping label to mail the dead razor back to them...
.... so in that sense you get your money's worth out of it, probably three years at least for a $35 purchase which isn't bad at all if you don't mind the whole packing up the old razor and sending it back to them (I seem to recall them mailing you the new or refurbished razor first so that leaves you with a box right there you can mail the dead razor back with). They just want the dead razor back not the charging cord or any other peripherals that came with the razor.
I've always used the three head models and haven't bothered with the foil blade (straight across instead of round) type of razors myself as well.
Bit of a head scratcher.. while you probably have a charger that plugs into an electric outlet that you can plug a usb-A cord into lying around somewhere (hopefully if you hung onto your old tech instead of throwing it out like a lot of people do
"Doesnt tell you need $17 plug

Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend

Bought for my elderly father and came with a cord with no plug??? Had to make two trips to Target to purchase $17 plug??? Pretty pathetic"
I guess you could snag this amazon basics charger which is on sale right now if you're placing an amazon order and can hit that $35 free shipping mark
