60w equivalent is very very week for these bulbs. Even 75W is questionable. I had to pay premium to get these in 100W equivalent, but was worth it!

agreed, although these may be good for ambient lighting like a bedside lamp.

Just curious as I'm new to smart lights. What's your use case for the 100W bulbs? Outside lights?

Not OP, but to answer: I guess I'm getting old even in my 30s, but the other bulbs are not quite bright enough if being used in a fixture in a larger room that you want to be well lit for stuff like reading. I'd say the 75w is okay. But maybe 100w is even better for more visual HD clarity. And this isn't specific to these bulbs, per se. Just in general, that's what I'm doing these days.

If you plan on using them in any type of enclosure that's not 100% clear in a fairly large room, you won't get good lighting out of them unless they are 100W equivalent. I have couple of 75W in smaller rooms that do well. I used to have 60W and had to sell them on eBay because they were too dark.

Or fixtures with multiple sockets.

I just changed out a light fixture in my dining room (that doubles as a game room) and went with 100W versions for this same reason. They are much more expensive but SO worth it if you actually need to use the light for hobbies.

Since you're new to smart lighting and I've had smart lighting ever since Philips released these bulbs (over 13 years) I'll give you some advice. I personally wouldn't get Philps bulbs. Yes, they are nice but there are others just as nice. I got Lifx bulbs instead. They don't require a separate hub like Philips and their blues are much more blue. I have about 50 smart bulbs in my house. Some of the other bulbs you can get for around $4 each are also good. I really wish those bulbs were around when I bought my Lifx. As for power, I would get 1100 lumen. That's around the same as a 100-watt bulb. I have my bulbs set to around 80% brightness but if I need a brighter white light I can always turn them up.

Actually, both.
I use the 100W bulbs outdoors on either side of my garage. Inside the house, I am using the 100W bulbs in the living room. These are bright at "daylight" setting but as soon as you change to a color, something like "blue", the brightness drops dramatically.

In the bedroom, I have four 60W bulbs in my ceiling fan light. Again, the 'daylight' setting is nice and bright but adequate if you are using any dark colors (blue, red, violet, etc)
