Unfortunately Amazon won't price match to even their own prices that were from the past, you Will have to buy it again and just return the old one. While it seems crazy for Amazon, they take the chance that people won't go through the hassle. But for $300, it's probably worth your time imo

amazon might charge you a restocking fee if you return it. i had to pay a fee last time i returned something that big. it doesn't say "free returns" anywhere on the product page, so i assume there's a fee

A few commenters in this thread said Amazon will pick it up but charges a restocking fee while others said there is no restocking fee. I've personally made Amazon returns (not a TV) that said a restocking fee would be charged only to get the full refund when the funds were refunded. So the whole thing seems like YMMV.
