Good deal. Btw, I got accepted instantly but was told by customer service at priority pass that there is a 2 week delay after card activation to receive a link to connect new card to priority pass account.

I think the two weeks is an "up to" number. I was able to sign up for Priority Pass within a few days. You just try to sign up and if Priority Pass doesn't recognize your Capital One account or whatever, know that a CS rep will point to the two week thing if it hasn't been two weeks.
I can tell anyone curious that Capital One will not match this for anything. Rep just insisted over and over that this is a referral program (even though slickdeals hides this so to me it was just a 'deal'), so you have to be referred to be a part of it. I politely tried to explain that I felt cheated (since I was told when I signed up that the 90k referral program had just ended—which she confirmed. I signed up in a tiny 3 day gap between it stopping and starting again), asked if she might apply the offer as a customer satisfaction effort, asked if her manager might be able to do so if she couldn't, etc. She was kind but repeatedly insisted that this is a referral offer (I italicize that because it was what she hung her hat on to refuse me) and there was nothing that can be done. Pretty frustrating. I've had plenty of other cc companies apply such offers after the fact and it definitively makes my opinion of them more favorable.
Is this refer link? The public offer still only has 75k.
I'm almost positive it is, but it does look different than a standard referral link. Not sure how slickdeals does it. Maybe it's some kind of business referral link.
is there a similar deal for other venture cars with $95 AF? I'm debating between this $395 & $95 AF card.
As long as your travel once or book 1 or 2 hotels a year, the X is a better value since you basically get paid $5 to hold the card with the 300 in travel/hotel/rental car credits and 10,000 miles each year for free which is worth $100 in travel/hotel/rental car. Also, if you are due for a TSA pre check for $70-$100 (if global entry option) then thats covered every 4 years, so thats an extra $25 a year off the annual fee which basically has capital one giving you $30 a year to own once of the most powerful cards on the market while getting all the benefits of Visa Infinite like cell phone protection and extended warranty.

You can just sign up for priority pass with venture X and use the Priority pass app to get into lounges. No need to wait for the physical card

Got it. Thanks. But doesn't the regular venture card with $95 AF also gives $100 towards tsa precheck/global entry too?
Mine just expired in November and I'm looking for card to take care of free global entry & to get kick up with other rewards. Although I've heard the redemption value using capital one rewards isn't so great and travel booking usually has higher ticket prices for international travels. Is that correct?

If you spend at least $300/year on travel, the Venture X is likely your better bet.

sadly yes. I find this and Amex portal prices are usually higher than other 3rd party sites, but once in a while they have great discounts.
