DO NOT BUY! I picked up a similar pack of these and over half the batteries started leaking just sitting in the remotes, etc within months of installation.

They weren't even expired.

I typically buy these every year around this time and I've never had a leaky battery. I feel like they were less expensive in years past maybe at Home Depot closer to or after Xmas?

They've been great for things like remotes, game controllers, and kiddo toys.

Edit:

Yes, I bought these exact 60 packs at Home Depot for 7.88 each. BUT that was December 1, 2021. Don't know if they'll have anything like that again this year.

Same experience with every pack I've owned. I had this pack, a AAA pack and a mixed pack. After a couple of months they were sitting in a pool of leaked fluid. Not worth potential damage to devices for the lottery of the good experiences a few have had above.

I've stopped buying this brand. I love a good deal, but after 3 ruined devices and 5 or 6 cleanups I've finally learned.

It seems that both Rayovac and Duracell get the most accusations of being leak-prone. I have personal experience albeit anecdotal. Leaking Duracells ruined a $600 pair of Canon image-stabilized binoculars for us. And I had a tub of these Rayovacs that I misplaced in my office closet for about 2-3 years after I bought it. When I found it, many of the cells had leaked. I guess that's on me, but still, I've had no similar trouble with Kirkland (Costco) or Energizers in recent memory.

I've been using the batteries from harbor freight and they've been great. A few videos out there showing they can outperform some of the big name brands like Duracell. Make sure you get the thunderbolt edge not magnums. They're on sale right now for only $4 for the 18pk.

Bought the same in '21. A few of them died young, in low current remotes. Cheap, but do include clean up labor!

These are trash batteries.
The leaking amongst brands is a real issue and manufacturers are absolutely aware of it. You get what you pay for in alkaline batteries.

There is no "longest lasting" battery. It's too subjective and there are too many variables to judge. Devices,usage patterns, even weather to name a few.

Source - worked for major battery manufacturer.

If anyone has a ShopRite nearby, they have these in AA and AAA ten packs for 1.49, so 60 works out to $9. Sale ends today, but is likely to be back again before Christmas.

I used to find these yearly for $5 at either Menards or home depot. Good batteries for that price, not so great at this price.
