Just ordered. I have the service already in Los Angeles for $40 a month - and it works great! A T-Mobile rep said I could get this deal for $30 a month with the TV. All I have to do is add a new home internet line and once I get the new modem/router then I suspend my old $40 a month home internet line for 90 days, which costs $10 to suspend. Then, after the 90 days, I can cancel my old line. But that locks me into $30 a month for life with this new line of home internet service and I get the TV! Hope that helps others who already have this internet service.

I have tmobile home internet because I can't get fiber/cable where I live. If you live out in the country like me, its amazing sompared to the other options. I regularly get 300mbps down. It also regularly slows down significantly, sometimes under 20mbps, and the tmobile unit regularly crashes and has to be restarted. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has access to cable/fiber at their address unless they already have a tmobile cell line and really need that $30 rate over reliable internet. The issue isn't average overall speed, its reliability of both the hardware and speed at a particular time. Also there are weird quirks like it gives me an IP address a thousand miles away.

Have magenta 1.0 plan, always got error page during checkout process, couldn't even see price.

Anyone encountered the same?

I have Simple Choice and the rep in chat right now is telling me that it's only $10 off per month instead of $20 off. I sent a screen shot of the promo as well. Anyone else hit this snag? Per the posts, it seems to be a bit all over the place for Simple Choice folks.

It's ridiculous, I was initially told it wouldn't apply then I gave them the promo id that was showing online, but it seems like a guessing game. Simple choice customers are now treated like the 3rd class passengers on the Titanic. I'm thinking of leaving T-Mobile as they've made everything really difficult lately for us and the service is getting saturated in my area

Is there a way to add internet to Voice line? Because voice alone should not work for most of them. If so how much T mobile charges for internet

I agree with you. And I'm not upgrading to Go5G which would take my plan from $188 to $255 per month.

Well, the order finally went through. Should get the $20/mo discount now (we'll see).

Up-front activation cost was $37.19 ($35 activation plus some taxes). Per the order, it says I'll be getting a "T-Mobile-5G Gateway G4AR-1". Hope that's a good one. Should arrive by 12/1 (if not before). And the rep did say I was eligible for the free Fire TV as well.

Hope it all goes well as planned!

Just need some clarification. Do you already have T-Mobile Internet at $50 and just ordered another line at $30?

If so, is there a penalty for canceling the old one?it
You will lose your promotion. It is mentioned in the fine print " Qualifying credit and voice line required. If you have cancelled Internet lines in past 90 days, you may need to reactivate them first. Credits may take up to 2 bill cycles; credits will stop if you cancel any lines or change plans".
I have 2 internet lines already and they wont let me open the 3rd one( or if they do, the 3rd line wont be qualified for promotion). I canceled the line I just opened after talking to the rep.

Hhmm. I am confused. I have 1 line. Ordered 2nd line to take advantage of this promotion. I plan to cancel my 1st line after activation the 2nd line. Would that void the promotion I have for 2nd line?

According to the rep I talked to, the promotion will be voided if you cancel any line.

That's why you SUSPEND service for 90 days and don't cancel. To get the promotion. It only costs $10 total to suspend old line for 90 days, then you can cancel it.

My gateway just arrived. It's the Black Fast 5688W model. I read that this is the 3rd gateway model that tmobile introduced most recently. I hope this is better than the "new white one"

Are you sure that if we cancel the old line after 90 days will not affect this promotion ($20 credit goes to to your bill every month) ? or doing that just to get the TV then cancel any line you don't need? I talked to 3 different reps and they all gave me different info. 2 of them did not even know about this promotion.
