Offer good for ONLINE purchases ONLY. That should be in the original post, OP.
I can confirm that scan and go will trigger this offer, already showing up in my redeemed offers for a scan and go order made 11/26. Free $24 back, if only it was on all my cards!

Seems there's enough time to test it out on a smaller purchase before maxing out on a larger one.
I believe this is a one-time use offer (or at least on my account.) If you test it on a smaller one and it "works" to give the discount, the offer has been used up and not eligible on the next purchase.
...although if someone wanted to test it and use up their offer, if it works, on a smaller one first before others try on a bigger one...

$240 x 5% = $12 ; so if you have the offer on 2 Chase cards and you have not hit the $1500 limit, the 5% cashback would pay for the membership.
It is, guess I need to use bold font 🤷
