That would be Verizon or T-Mobile. Since they charge only $25 a month on a monthly plan, the saving is only $50 over a year or $4.16 a month. Does not seem to be much of a slick deal.

It's a fair assessment, but Verizon is the only carrier that works for me. Plus, US Mobile doesn't throttle the speed like Visible. I have been with USMobile for exactly 1 year now and the experience is super. Additional $50 saving is a plus for me.

Thanks for the catch, yes its T-mo, fixed. US mobile is already one of the lowest cost MVNO so you'll not see giant savings over their normal rates. Compare $250/yr 30GB to Slickdeals to fav Red Pocket whose normal price of $360 25GB was on sale LY for $300.

If anyone is interested I believe helium is launching their own plan nationwide for $20 (plus taxes and fees) a month in the coming weeks. Also 30gb data just like this plan. If you give them mapping data, the rewards can easily cover your bill making the service $0 out of pocket
What network does that go over

I am also curious to know.
Easy you request to port out and they will email you the port out code. I went from US mobile to visible and now back to US mobile. Visible depriortized was terrible. Sometimes you can't even load a website when you're at a mall or even the parking lot of a mall

My ongoing Mint Mobile annual plan ends only in April. Can I buy this US Mobile offer now, then activate it in April? If not, is there any other way I can avail of this deal without wasting months left on the Mint plan? Thanks.
From the offer terms "The plan will be available for activation in the user dashboard for up to 6 months after the date of purchase."

Meh instead of paying 250 upfront for a years service you could just sign up for that 50 days free trial and then continue on the $25 unlimited starter service. Prepaying 250 for 1 year you're only getting 10 days extra service
You're right, I never thought about it that way. This is much less of a deal than I thought. Especially when you consider you're locked in for a year, plus the promo price will not stick around when the year is done

Well the promo price is locked in for a year too. They could up the monthly charge anytime

Not necessarily. I have 4 unlimited lines for $100 taxed per month. It also includes 2 free monthly perks, which I selected Disney and Netflix. I switched from TMo and am quit happy with their services.
What plan is that? Grandfathered? It's it available now?

Thanks. So you can port from visible to US mobile with the Verizon network?

I've tried pretty much all the MVNOs over the years: Boost, Red Pocket, Mint, Google Fi and this is by far the fastest.

I have the Verizon version of it, and here in NYC on 5G UWB I get 280 mbs download (altho much slower upload, like 7 mbs).

Doesn't seem to be any de-prioritization like other MVNOs I've tried.

I usually jump from MVNO to MVNO every 6ish months to snag their port in deals, but I'm convinced and just bought the year.

If anyone wants an early-access code, I can share. fwiw, I recommend it regardless of if you use my code or not!

Yes. You have to pick the Warp which is the black sim that uses the Verizon network. The white sim uses T-Mobile

I used them before, while service worked fine there was numerous problems with billing( promotion credits). I had to contact customer service a few times which was PITA. Also after using all data allotment there was a hard cap. Switched back to Mint, which is much better IMHO.

For potential new customers this isn't really a deal at all since we'd already get basically 2 months free with the 50-day trial. BUT for those already with USM it's a nice little treat if you're willing to pay for a year upfront.

How does the QCI/priority/etc of this compare to the cheaper Visible plan?
