I got tired of waiting for the Walmart deal to return/be matched. The 3 8TB drives I bought last BF are all filled with the contents of older drives that crapped out on me during the year 🫤

Ya, you're right. I did some digging. They both use the same drive. Should I jump on it or wait to see what Cyber Monday brings?

I would have held out if I didn't find a CB link and I wasn't in any hurry - but my older drives have been dying in droves lately.

Went ahead and placed an order. Hope the 10.5% CB comes through. If a better deal comes through on CM, I'll just return the drive to WD. They've always been good about returns. Thanks for the post, and Happy Holidays!

Happy holidays to you as well! The CB site with the 10.5% has been a pretty solid one for me over the years, so that was a factor for me as well.

Edit: my CB account shows a very detailed "pending" entry for the WD order…good sign 🤞🏻

I was able to get a 10% off first time customer coupon that was offered on the western digital website (pop up) that worked with these drives. Saved $45 dollars on two drives taking them down to roughly $206 a drive. Only $6 dollars more than the Best Buy deal and from what I hear, the same drives inside if shucked.

Damn, I thought the small print said you had to wait 30 days to use the first time customer coupon.

Oh well, I guess the 10.5% cashback wouldn't have stacked with the coupon.
