Current Deal - $37.99 + $10.00 Amazon GC. Is this the best we're going to get? I screwed up for TT 2019 not realizing I had just missed the after Christmas TT GC. Caught it the last 3 years as you can see, but is $37/$38 the best price now? Last year it came nowhere close to $29.99 and the GC. I am in FL so I don't need State and I file for me/wife and and do our son's using our copy of TT as well. I don't like online TT.

To each their own but I want to post here for others that FreeTaxUSA is not some, "no name company" - they have been around for years, we've used them twice until things got complicated for our taxes, and if you're an everyday Joe (or Jane) without a bunch of complicated deductions or messy paperwork - FreeTaxUSA is absolutely awesome.

A house, a car, a wife, a kid or two, and you're filing W-2's - use FreeTaxUSA.

3 houses, two businesses, 3 vehicle leases and 1 tied to a business, lots of individual investments, etc - go with one of the Intuit higher-end products or use an accountant.

Been using them for about 5 years now after taxcut got pricey and then turbo tax gave low income filers the finger. You still pay for state filing, but fed is free. I've used them for amendments, crypto filing, schedule Cs, etc. Regarding reliability, "FreeTaxUSA is an original member of the IRS Free File Alliance and an authorized IRS e-file provider. We have securely filed millions of federal tax returns with the IRS.". So they're an approved federal contractor for this purpose and had to pass FAR required vetting for processing PII. At this point in a world where we have defense primes getting ransomware'd, they're probably as good as you're going to get without going offline with your info. (If so, see advertised product above. I've done it for several years online, but with a different company. no problems. free if you make under certain amount. it's not a 'few bucks'

Does the Deluxe with State allow Entering/Reporting these type of Transactions for sure???

Could downgrade to Deluxe State and Save Money..

Correct, no need for Premier. Deluxe desktop version does all that ( the deluxe online version does not)

Crap...Home & Business seems to be $15-$20 more than in past years. I wish I didn't need it, but with 1099s and a Schedule C, I do. Maybe I'll buy now and return/rebuy if a cheaper price comes up at the end of the year. I usually buy around Dec 28th when the price drops. Fingers crossed.
