Pro plus is worth the extra $5 for consoles for the write speed imho.
For these types of cameras, you're going to want to stick with normal SD cards, as these micro-sd's run slower than the recommended speeds/cards for those cameras.

I bought this earlier this week when Best Buy had it for the same price. Still downloading switch games onto it. I forget how small the file sizes are. I've already downloaded my entire library and still have around 50 gb left. Highly recommended! Might order another for my Steam Deck

Are these cards any good for security cameras that require tons of read write?

I am a SanDisk Extreme Pro fanboy but i tried the SAMSUNG EVO Select 256GB A2 microSDXC 130MB/s and it writes faster than my SanDisk 128GB Extreme Pro A2

Read/write on SAMSUNG EVO Select was 131 and 124 MB/s
Read/write on SanDisk Extreme Pro was 174 and 97 MB/s

Evo Select and Evo Plus are supposedly the same item, but one is store-branded for Amazon.

Have you tested the Endurance?

Thanks. Endurance it is then. What do you recommend for a phone that has 10s of thousands of photos, docs, etc constantly accessing

Wait what? The size has nothing to do with the class of card.

A cursory search of Google can easily confirm that many people use microsd for video on the 70D

Edit: yes definitely a troll looking through their post history. A lot of false information regurgitated in a very confident manner. Just to confirm vrr makes a huge difference even (especially) on mobile gaming (ally owner here).

It's unfortunate that the only choices are playing counterfeit roulette *and* an extended wait or paying for shipping. Hopefully, a retailer that offers free shipping will price match.

Yeah I dont actually find that to be the case. While I'm sure there is SOME loss in speed when using a micro-SD VS regular. Any difference is negligible, as I mostly use Sandisk Micro SDs now. I just found the samsung brand didnt work for any cameras unlike my other micro SDs

Edit: Turns out I'm correct. The inners of both chips are roughly the same, so when you compare an regular SD card and a micro SD card with an adapter, theres no difference between them in general in terms of usability/performance.

Wow this is really cheap
Can you imagine how much cheaper it would be though if the cell phone manufacturers hadn't conspired to kill the market and stop having removable storage.

they should be. I used to use of these types for my home security cameras, but then I swapped them for the ENDURANCE Samsung ones that are specifically meant for a lot of read/write.

I think I had them in there for 1-2 years, and they held up fine and are currently being used in other devices, ymmv,

Correct, if same spec, it doesn't matter much, then its just reliability concerns. I should have specified that full-size SD cards are better, as they will get you better speeds/specs/reliability for a Sony a73 and BM 4k cameras. I work in video production, and when it comes to SD vs Mirco-Sd reliability, micro-sd looses.

... you choose the oldest camera in the original commenters list... the 70D is 10 years old now, of course modern micro-sd cards will work.

I'm flattered you went through my history and cherry-picked what you could. VRR makes a difference, but not enough to be a deal-breaker or as others online make it out to be. unless you know what you are really looking for, you won't notice (atleast compared to LeGO) (Legion go, Steam Deck LCD, Steam Deck OLED owner and Ally-returner here)3

should have specified, but you are correct, if specc'd the same, the two cards should be identical performance wise. In real world use, reliability starts playing a role. I have seen more micro-sd cards fail or have issues when used in devices like the A73 and BM4k that use the full potential of the card for long periods of time. If the card is not to spec to the content being captured, you run the risk of overheating, slow-downs, choke ups, and/or corrupted files.
