Because the deal is dead, sold out quick. The link will start working for 50ft again in a little while but it will be back to full price (based on how the 25 foot went the last couple times).

You wouldn't want a black and gray thick nylon covered cable running along baseboards anyway. There are plenty of uses for patch cables that aren't permanent.

Honestly if you're wiring your house with patch cables through walls you're not very concerned about meeting fire code anyway. You'll be hard pressed to find a patch cable that is rated for wall or duct use (other than expensive data center brands like Panduit etc).
