Bought the Costco one today, $6.99 for 32oz so blows this Amazon deal out of the water.

Looked this up on EWG's consumer guide last time it came up. Unfortunately it scores really poorly on water/environmental impact. Sadly it seems like most rinse aids do.

If you have soft water, you don't need this, just and FYI.

I got to use this recently. It does work it really cleaned up the dishwasher. But the horrible chemical smell afterwards took like 10 washes to get rid of. Ugh. And it made all my cups taste like chemicals. Gross.

Next time if I ever do that I should have used vinegar because that's really good at cleaning out chemical fragrances

Best I can do is link their list, which doesn't have that many rinse aids in total - https://www.ewg.org/guides/subcat...-RinseAid/

I just learned about them recently so I don't know how reputable the list is, but after thinking about it I'm not too surprised that name brand rinse aids prioritize results over health LMAO.

Whole house water softener if you can install one is your best bet to get rid of hard water stains. You can also try plain citric acid.

I think the mainstream brands arent environmental friendly. I tried the ecos rinse aid. It seems to be ok and not that expensive.

As for the detergent, i have tried 7th gen, and i am not sure if its my dishwasher or what, but the dishes dun seem to come out as clean as when cascade is used.
