I ended up getting some tongs for getting stuff out of the air fryer or for flipping. I was getting tired of burning my fingers. Smilie

I use a twisty tie. Wrap it around the handles. Slide it up to use the tongs. The rivet keeps it from coming off. Slide it down to lock the tongs. Twisty tie handles the dishwasher fine.

These are a great value. I ordered one previously and they didn't open up wide enough for me for grilling. If you're grabbing items that aren't very large they should be fine. Mine also came with the spring partially fallen out. I returned them and got the OXO ones instead, and love them.

I like Rosle gravity tongs. Lol but it's also 15x more expensive than this ha.

It's imo the best/fastest one handed operated tongs to lock it close and to open it.

But if you're dumb, it's hard to use and it's easy to blame the product instead lol.

I've had the OXO for more than a decade, they work great and last forever. Why struggle with junk? Divide the cost by the years of use and you're much better off with quality and undropped chicken
