V22 is a great sounding amp, particularly for the price.
Loud enough for a full band and light enough to be your own roadie.
Not a huge fan of the distortion channel but that's what pedals are for.

I second that, great value amp but definitely needs work on the distortion channel. A good distortion pedal fixes that.

I bought the V22 last year on a similar deal - an outstanding piece of equipment, in particular for the price.

Are these versatile? Or do they only do like a clean\crunchy blues tone? Can it be used for heavy alternative rock or metal?
Not being cheeky i promise ! I really want to know others experience

For versatile, the best bet is any amp that people say has "great cleans" or is a "pedal platform", which people do say about this series and brand. Then you pick your choice of amp-in-a-box pedals to meet the versatility requirements.

The "main" character of natural breakup comes from the speaker cone and so it's difficult to get versatility. I'm picturing those old car stereo shops where you press a button to switch speakers, lol.

If you can get pedals (box of rock, blues breakers, crunch box, Joyo AC tone, HM-2, etc)…. Yes, this amp is versatile! For crunchy blues tone, the boss BD-2 is where almost everyone starts.

Tempted for a new bedroom Amp... I have a tube screamer and metal zone (from about 2004). Is this decent for buckethead or anything like that?
