i had the model up from this that included the keypad, multi button remote and smart features. overall was very pleased with the unit. at this price it is nice to have a battery backup (Note this will operate the door very slowly and not for a long period before it discharges).

If you already have a genie keypad, you wont need one, a universal will work or the genie branded one.

Bought the chamberlain from hd for my parents for Christmas Black Friday. Called the garage door guy. He said chamberlain is fine it's made by liftmaster. He said stay away from genie. He has been in the business for 20+ years. He said a 1/2 horse chamberlain is significantly better than a $400 genie. He said they last 2-5 years.

Bought this last year. Does the job but I don't think it's a good or a quality product. Can't set force manually.

Weird. I built both of my garages, and personally installed 4 Genie units (two with the screw/worm drive, two chain drive). The worm drive units are 12+ years old and work like new. The chain drive units it's been ~4 years of light use (couple times a week) and also work like new. The two chain drive units look just like the one in this ad, sans the battery backup.
