Well strike one for Acer refurbished....I ordered the other refurb computer with the 3070 last week (the deal I posted) and it arrived on Saturday. Got home yesterday and the plain brown box looked rough. Opened it up to find a shattered glass front plate with glass pieces inside the unit and box. The inflatable packing holders had zero air and the keyboard and mouse also looked used. To top it off the computer was covered completely in dust.....I have had other refurbished products from other companies and you would never know it was a refurb and looked brand new. This was clearly a return and repack. I started a return with ebay and they sent me the label to send it back. There will be nothing left when they receive it back but o well. Ordered another one and am going to try again.
Damn, getting mine today 🤞🏽

Got the unfortunate news from FedEx this morning that my order was damaged and is being returned to Acer. Since this PC is sold out, would it be worth the extra $111 to get the one [ebay.com] with the same specs + a 2TB HDD?

I think this would be a better buy- https://www.ebay.com/itm/25580730...08cf160INT

Unfortunately it looks like they are sending out poorly packed products. I just got an update my replacement will be here on Thursday. If it arrives nothing short of perfect I am giving up on this "deal"

Why would this be a better buy? Just curious. The one he shared is for a 3080 while the one you are saying is the "better buy" is a 3070. Seems like a relative price difference considering the gpu upgrade?

If you need the 3080 then that is the next "best deal". At $250 less you could put 32gb of memory and buy a 2nd ssd if needed and still be cheaper with a good GPU. From what I read the 3070 will be plenty for 95% of the games currently in the market and there are several people who tested the 3080 vs the 3070 with minimal/ noticeable visual difference in game play.

yeah still a good deal regardless, probably depends on if you want that extra bump in the gpu. I had ordered one of the 3080 @ $900 but it got canceled. I was able to snag the 3080 with the 3 TB for around $1,000. After seeing some of these comments with the way they received their units, I am a little worried..

Mine arrived on Saturday absolutely smashed to pieces. Customer service is non-existent; just oh-well here's a label return it. No replacements, no parts, no exchanges. GPU was missing screws, looks like pcie locking tab was busted as well. Wire management is poor, zip-ties so tight it strains multiple connectors. Probably dodged a bullet. I've purchased $5 picture frames that were packaged better.

My windows asked for the update, so I did during last shutdown. Guess what? It had problems with booting up after, GPU did not want to start up…
No guess Apple charges 5 times for their products in comparison to any windows based POS as simply as Apple products always work. Luckily it finally booted up so I'm good but got scared for a bit.

The CPU is 12700F not 12700 for mine. Not going to use iGPU anyway, it's just different from described.
Mine is 12700F as well.
The bios stopped with an error after Acer firmware update but besides that pretty smooth.

Got mine, it works well. In great condition.
The only issue I've had was turning on HDR mode. It lost connection to the LG OLED TV I use as a monitor, and it took several reboots to get into safe mode to fix the display issue. (why couldn't I just hold a key down to get into windows safe mode options like with earlier versions of Windows?)

Once I updated the GPU drivers, I could use 10-bit HDR at full resolution 4:4:4 120Hz.
There's a bit of bloatware, but not as bad as the bloatware that is part of Windows 11 itself.

I've built my last few PCs, but I couldn't have built something equivalent for the same price. I was aiming at spending twice as much, but this will hold me over for a while.

I got the same one also. Mine came in perfect condition... Well other than the fact that they didn't have screws in the video card at all and it came out during shipment and banged around in the case a bit... I was able to get everything mounted up and working. However, the contacts for the 3080 were bent up a bit. But still works fine. I was super annoyed the shipment was so bad... Any still working with them on a resolution.

Yours actually had the VGA card mounted?

Performance is good. Very quiet even after playing RDR2 on 4k for like 20 mins. CPU never got over 80c and the video card 75c. Not bad for the price at all.

Not at all. Maximum I got so far was 75C on CPU and 68C on GPU cooling works really good for me so far.
