If you want a slot you can find a phone with one and a removable battery if that's your kink. Personally, I want all my storage onboard and as fast as possible if I need external storage I have a 4tb ssd for that.

That's the beauty of choice, you make yours and I make mine.
No offense but this is a bad take, you argue for choices yet who would be harmed by including a microSD card slot in every phone, couldn't I just as easily argue that in that world you can make your own choice NOT to use it? Samsung proved over 10 years ago that you can still make a phone water resistant and also have a microSD card slot so that isn't a valid reason. So I can't think of a single reason, other than greed, to NOT include an SD card slot and give people the freedom to use their own external storage.
Note that I'm mainly referring to Android phones here, especially because historically that's what has separated them from Apple, want to download an App not found in the Google Play store? Be my guest. Apple has always been way more authoritarian about not letting their users do what they want and so (not that this makes it right, but) it's less surprising they've never really included an option for external storage in their phones and tablets.

I'm not arguing for choice, I'm fine with the choices available, I'm saying you have a choice and you can vote with your dollar like everybody else has which is why premium phones don't have a slot or removable batteries or headphone jacks or IR blasters or whatever niche thing you want.

Who does it help to have an sd slot on every phone? I certainly don't want one, been there done that it caused more problems than it helped (this is in part due to how android deals with external storage and the huge speed disadvantage that sd has compared to on die storage.)
As this person explained, you don't HAVE to use the slot, and having it there doesn't affect anything unless you're careless with your phone and drop it in water, in which case it's 100% on you. People who can't be bothered to take care of a $1000 phone are just idiots. But, if a phone has a slot you can continue to use internal memory for everything including taking photos and videos and playing games, but have the option of adding a card to offload infrequently used files, like photos and videos which, once they're taken, don't require fast internal storage to access.

Does anyone know whether this work well with go pro 4k 120FPS continous shooting?
I would not advise that, especially if you need to use an micro to regular SD adapter. These things run too hot for continuous 4K - however I don't own a GoPro - my experience is based on using them in Mirrorless system cameras. Also it could depend on the bitrate - higher the bitrate the hotter the card will get, higher temps will throttle, stop or could result in choppy videos. YMMV, but I'd go with a Lexar pro card. Alternately you could buy one and test and send it back if it's within the return window.

How much longer can cell phone companies continue to grift the whole idea that 64GB-128GB of additional storage should cost an additional $100 to $150? (stares at Apple)
Apple just gave you a thumbs down.

where is the usual guy warning ppl of fakes but doesn't mention the auth app

just run the auth app from Samsung's website if you're skeptical... pretty easy
As a consumer, it's unreasonable for you to expect fakes from a reputable retailer. If you expect to get fakes, then there are issues with the supply line. You should not trust the retailer as much and should expect a higher discount than other retailers to compensate for shopping at those less reputable retailers. Thats why when you shop at other 'less reputable' places like Aliexpress, temu, ebay, whatever, you expect the item to have a high discount.

These cards have tested write speed of 130M, not much slower than their pro+ counterparts.

looking at the customer photos it's like 160MB/sec read vs 130MB/sec read
Writes are almost identical.

FYI Had one of these in my Switch, corrupted 3 times in 1 week, exchanged on Amazon and second one did the same thing. Had to go with Sandisk and haven't had problems since. So maybe Switch isn't the best application for this model.
Works fine in my oled switch

True!
I will use my Samsung S10 until it DIES.
UNLESS, these quality Android phones are brought back with the card slots.
