This is a good deal. They used to sell this saw bare tool (pre-pandemic and inflation) for $279. Home Depot's new retail price is $499. So yeah, good find. I'm a carpenter and use this saw almost every day for quick jobs. Very handy and compact.

It's small and light enough that you just pick it up and carry it by the handle. In fact the stand probably weighs more than the tool itself.

Is there any difference between XR and regular batteries besides the shape? Asking because I have a "pancake" shaped 4ah and the 4ah XR seems way more blocky

I just noticed it's the 7 1/2 not the 12". I was looking for the 12" or the 10" Bosch corded, that will cover all the sizes of wood I might cut

I'm a DIY kinda guy and am going to take a stab at installing laminate flooring and new base boards. Will this saw do the trick for that type of work or do I need a larger saw?

Bosch and Stanley Black & Decker are major competitors, I seriously doubt they have anything to do with each other.
