Like a few others have said: If you grind with any sort of regularity, you'll really appreciate having two. Not having to switch discs when alternating between cutting and grinding is very convenient. If you only need a grinder occasionally, then you should probably skip - or try to sell the other one on craigslist or something like that.

ironworker here. I have abused mine hard. They still chuggin.
I'll add an opinon. I like the paddle switch. I feel its safer because many time i have to feather the switch while grinding/sanding. I had a disc explode on me on a hard switch model and it got knocked out of my hands and was terrorizing me while spinning on the floor. had to run to the outlet to get it to stop.
