Far better off going with a traditional pulley-style extension ladder.

How to raise the fully extended ladder correctly without all that fuss or walking rungs.

I got this in either 250lb or 300lb for around $60 a couple of years ago. It's heavy. For most tasks a simple light stepladder is what you want, 20lb or less. I guess my version of this is 35lb or more.
For high reach single extension it's much more wobbly than a real slide up double ladder that's long and inconvenient but this fodls up smaller which is good.
The stepladder function is the best but then you usually just wanted a lightweight stepladder.
I've always wondered what would happen if you didn't set it up quite right. The little spring bit goes onto the rung which is hollow. It seems like it would be easy to screw it up if you were in a rush and not get a full connection
I wouldn't pay this price personally $279
So 90% of the time I prefer and do use my fiberglass ladders to do chores around the house. They're probably literally 1/5th or less of the weight of this one.
