I buy them on ps4 and xbox too. And it's always the same batch. I'm pretty sure we may have to repurchase on ps5, XSX.. or if not the next hardware cycle for the time to recompile and optimize.. which is throw the software at it and click a button. Depends on the SDK for developers and the developers QC process. So far the original doom remake is the only ones that have properly been done. All other remakes is literally just officiating the roms on the platform and trying to fix it when customers complain (ie customers become the QC process and unpaid.. and the developers might fix it or make it go away with a bandaid fix but not done properly).
By the way, a ton of Neo-Geo games are available to Amazon Prime subscribers. Once you claim a prize, it's yours to keep even if your subscription expires!
