Technically better than the Costco deal last month - https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/fp/881689 @ $470 but that included 4 filters and Costco return policy is more solid than Amazon.

Not really. Just buy another one on Amazon and swap it.

Expensive items like these have the serial numbers tracked and on the box and product. If you return and they don't match you will get denied the refund and probably banned.

Not on Amazon. No problemo at all. I only do this if Amazon denies the return... If I buy something that's expensive and it breaks, they should either fix it or replace it. If they don't I just do the whole swaparoo. Never had a problem. I've even done with apple airpods

The GE Profile Opal 2.0 serves chewable, crunchable, craveable nugget ice that's ready in 10 minutes or less

Amazon doesn't. Sellers on Amazon may but Amazon will remove any listings of "fake" products. You do realize it's a marketplace right? If you think you got fake merchandise from Amazon, contact them and they will refund you. What you're suggesting others to do is legally fraud. I'm just pointing it out so honest people know. You do you.

It's no longer available. I can vouch for the Opal 2.0 as I was wanting to buy a second one. The original Opal is apparently a nightmare. The Opal 2.0 makes "Sonic" ice like a boss and I've had it for almost 18 months without a single issue. I clean it on the the recommended schedule, as directed, which is very easy. I highly recommend the additional side tank.
Why do I want a second one? Simple - plug and go in our Sprinter 2500 van. Nothing like having "sonic ice" at your fingertips.

Amazon sells returned items as new or allows the practice. I've probably returned a dozen purchases over the past several years just for this reason. Companies are not our friend, they do what's best for them just as we should.

Amazon has sold fake memory cards before. And no not a third party seller.

Returns etc go back to the manufacturer

I am a seller on Amazon and have a limited idea of how their return practices work. They process so many returns daily, it's easy to see how things get through as new or with missing parts. Like you, I've had this happen but I don't believe Amazon did this on purpose and are trying to cheat the customer. When a seller (like myself) gets something returned from a buyer, Amazon will look at it (probably very briefly) to see if it's in "new" condition. If it is, they will return it to the warehouse. If it's not, they will destroy it or send it back to the seller.

Amazon puts customers over sellers. If you don't believe me, try being a seller on Amazon haha. The customer is always right. The majority of people think everything on Amazon is sold by Amazon. It is not. Some things aren't even shipped by Amazon.

I agree, you should always do what's best for you! I'm just sharing what I know. I didn't know this type of return was fraud until a few years ago.
