It's been this price on LG.com since Black Friday. I bought from LG when the last deal was posted and got it in two days. Great monitor. Was trying to find as close to a replacement for my Dell 34 IPS I bought from a 3rd party seller on Amazon that had a slight annoying flicker and this was perfect. The only thing I didn't realize with this one is the stand doesn't raise and lower. I just bought a $20 Monoprice mount to attach to my desk which will hopefully work well.

I do wish it was slightly more curved, the Dell was perfect.

Just checked LG.com's return policy [lg.com]. Oof. I rescind my previous statement of "I feel more comfortable buying from LG". See below:

I'm not sure if I want to keep it until I try it, so I'll be skipping this one. Great price for an IPS panel.

I bought a model like this last year for a little over $325. It had USB-C and 100W PD, but I think the panels are the same...

It's a really good unit for my work from home setup. The 60hz refresh rate is totally fine for spreadsheets and writing code.

For what it's worth I just spent 6 months trying to get them to fix a bad unit, they ended up telling me it couldn't be fixed after three times shipping back and forth. Took them six weeks to finally get me a check. The worst customer service experience, the product could have been a lemon, I am not sure but the service alone was so bad I picked up a Samsung instead, we will see if this unit holds out.
I've also had terrible customer service with LG on a phone.

PS same price on Amazon?

Search for 34WQ60C-B

Also Samsung G5 is $270. It has 165Hz and 1ms GtG. Is IPS worth it for 60Hz and 5ms GtG? Just wondering I have been using crappy monitors so far. How much better is the color/brightness and viewing angles?

If you have an EDU acct, it drops to 225. I just grabbed one at 225 plus tax and automatic free shipping.

I think I got the same model as you, but bought it this year from Amazon for $329. Mine is IPS, has USB-C and KVM.

Bought this monitor a week ago. I had a VA panel Samsung ultra wide I got on Black Friday from Costco several years ago and was mostly satisfied with it, but found the VA panel lacking for long durations of work at home, especially at night with poor lighting.

So that monitor is now in the office (and I get lots of looks from my coworkers) as corporate saddles us with 20" monitors, which is and looks ridiculous…and this one is at home. Huge upgrade in terms of clarity and viewing angles vs my Samsung one. VA just can't compete with IPS. Being slightly curved is a plus.

Unless you're a gamer, just buy this over anything sub $300 because it's all VA panels. And even then, unless you're competitive gaming online, you're not going to notice ultra high refresh rates anyway.

How does this compare to Costco deal?

Perfect timing on this. I was looking locally for a used 32-34 Ultrawide, and they are mostly the same price used and most were not IPS panels. This is for productivity, so I don't really care about gaming features. In for one. 7% statement credit from Capital One for LG. Always check. That covers sales tax for me at least.

Not sure if you made a decision, but the G5 is a gaming monitor. In general, IPS is much better for work productivity or video production. It has better color accuracy and off angle viewing. If you are gaming, the Samsung may be a better choice, but if setting up a work space, this LG is superior.

For $30 more at Costco, you get 100Hz refresh rate (the OP was 60Hz) and Height adjustable (the OP was tilt only). However, it is a VA panel instead of IPS.

Add cost of Costco membership (or 5%?) for some of us...laugh out loud

The panels are different technology. The Amazon link is a gaming panel, so for a similar price you're trading off contrast, viewing angle, color fidelity, and refresh rate.

The OP is more of a work/productivity monitor.
