Meh. Tons of reviews across multiple sites claiming very poor battery life, underwhelming speed and struggling to do any type of hill. Insurance isn't going to cover underwhelming features like battery or speed. 250 watt motor, rattling noises, tire issues, braking issues... this thing seems like a gamble. Is it a good price compared to it's normal MSRP or sale price, sure. However, it's hard to tell if this is even worth $200.

I got 2 as well, kind of concerning that a lot of the reviews on Walmart are from people that received free product.

Gotrax is getting delivered Saturday .hmm it's actually for my young daughter.

I bought the gotrax because you can program the top speed so she can grow into it. Figured it would be good for 5-6 years of actual usage instead of a cheap raze e90 that she would be bored with in 2-3 years.

Now I'm curious about this one...hmm at least I have until January 30th or something to exchange...

The max load on razor scooter is 154 lbs.
Gotrax max load is 220. And gotrax is brushless motor.

If you get this, get from Walmart with the extended warranty. Cheap scooters tend to break down a lot.

I had one of these a couple years ago, and it was well worth this price if it fits your needs. Its a reputable brand, and the riding experience was pretty good for something at this price point. The throttle modulation was probably the best of any scooter i have had. It also had a lower deck than most if you ever plan to kick-assist.

The battery life wasnt great though. I rarely ride more than a few miles at a time, but its not like some others where i can charge it once a week and be fine.

You'll want the solid tires. These will go flat and are a pain to change. After a few months you'll be lucky to get 9 miles per charge. They're great on newly paved flat surfaces, but terrible on rough roads and hills.

I bought one. 24lbs is still heavy but bearable to carry around on public transport.

Will the solid rear tire/wheel be an issue in the longer run? I can't imagine it would be as comfortable a ride compared to pneumatic tires...

For maintenance, I prefer solid tires because there's simply nothing to mess up. No leaks/punctures is a fantastic thing for peace of mind. It's definitely not going to be as comfortable though compared to pneumatic

I actually have the Razor A5 Prime (8" solid wheels) and Razor A6 (10" solid wheels) kickscooters. I actually have to kick and prefer it for the benefits of exercise especially since I ride it to the gym that is 2 miles away so a 4 mile total trip. I average 10 miles an hour on a mix of average/bumpy roads. My top kicking speed on flat ground is 19mph. I also ride skateboard/cruiser/longboard too and I am little bit faster with the kick scooter over the longboard. I definitely ride my bike more often but I like to mix it up between the bike, kick scooter and the boards.

If you are athletic enough to kick a kick scooter for some distance, don't want to worry about charging battery and like the exercise benefits, I definitely recommend the Razor A5 Prime or A6 kick scooters. Kicking a kick scooter or skateboard/longboard works both legs and your core really well. I paid $98 sale for my Razor A5 Prime and paid $109 for my Razor A6 (white). The Razor A6 (white) costs $103 now.

To the people who worry about suspension or comfort.... My tip is to not to lock out your knees with really straight legs. Let your leg muscles act like your suspension.
