I know there's usually a lot of doubt on the CPS warranty but I used mine recently for accidental damage. My son destroyed the screen on our 48c1 and they asked for pictures to confirm then sent me a check. Took about 2 weeks from filing the claim to getting the check. I also happen to have a spare stand for these now lol.

This vs a G2 for $1200?

🤣 sure. K.
Well, none of my devices have a Netflix logo displayed on the screen while I'm watching. That's kinda what the other guy was trying to point out. How you can get burn-in without anything stagnant on your screen, now THAT's confusing!

I have the same warranty for my C1, and this is good to hear. Did it cover the full purchase price or some prorated amount?

This doesn't seem like that a great deal to me, but not because the C1 isn't a good TV. I tried to get a non refurbished C1 55" when it was at around this price at some Costco's (was never able to find the posted Slickdeal locally). I ended up buying the C2 55" at Costco for $1000 shipped but then got a couple price adjustments down to $800 I think.
There isn't enough difference between the C1 and C2 to warrant one being good and one bad.

And if you use the LG apps to stream apps with the C1, the fireworks screensaver would kick in if you paused a video for awhile or didn't make any movement on the video menu. If you use a connected stick to stream from, you'd need to setup the screensavers on those devices to kick in to avoid burn in.

Hmm I got the U8K for about the same price, but how do rtings scores work when it's mini LED vs. OLED if this is lower score
I bought both this time last year, both being deals, with the C1 being about $200 more. The OS of the U8 was annoying at times even though we used a firebox connected to both. The LG channels are a nice plus. We ended up selling the U8 and keeping the C1. (Dark room, no glare issues location)

You said in your opinion to wait for lower prices, not that it was your opinion that it was entry level. This was LG's midrange line back in 2021 (just like all their C series TVs are). The A/B series are entry level if anything. Sure, this wasn't their best TV that year anyway compared to the C2 or 3 (I didn't feel jealous with my CX I bought months prior to its announcement), but let's not confuse folks on LG tiers.

Edit: lmao I was late to the opinion dogpiling I guess. everyone else just repeated what I was trying to convey too! 🤣

That aside, sorta tempting to replace my aging, slightly burnt in C7 with this for the bedroom, but my wallet's already crying from my recent G3 & B3 buys this month lol.
How are they? Does the b3 hold its own?

There's no Netflix logo when you're scrolling through Netflix, or pause it. You don't have a red line at the bottom of the screen when you pause, ff or rewind? I mean come on, use your head.

Sorry, I don't have the B3 in my possession yet. I was supposed to receive it today after the shitty freight company never received my scheduled Monday appointment, but unfortunately those fools messed up again. I'm supposed to get it this Saturday instead for real (after complaining to the vendor who squeezed the arm of the freight people). I can say the G3 65in is amazing ($2000 no tax), however. Never bought a B series TV, but the 77in for $1748 no tax was hard to pass up. Not jealous since my mancave has the best TV in the house, however (the G3).

I've had multiple OLED TVs going back to the early days when there were hardly any burn-in protections and never had an issue. It sure seems like you had a dud of TV or there was significant user error. You would not get burn-in from the FF/RW/Pause progress bar unless you left that on your screen for literally hours a day. Also there is no Netflix logo that appears during playback that would cause burn-in from the logo.

The TV has Protections, you can't leave it paused forever, the Screensaver comes on. You idiots can argue with me all you want. I have kids that watch Netflix a lot in the summer it's a fact, it's burnt in. Argue with a random person on the internet about their own experiences. 🙄 unbelievable.

here you go, just took some pics for you. the worst is the squares from the netflix screen.

obviously these pics don't do the actual look justice when you're in the room, but good enough.

Don't get mad that it's 2023 and you apparently don't know how to use a TV.

Thanks for posting op. Been waiting for this deal to come back since they went out of stock on Woot. Copped 55" immediately. This (or a G1) is still the best OLED for PC gaming because it has BFI at 120 Hz, which is removed from all newer TV models. Look up "plasma tv for gaming" on youtube if you want more details.
