Much higher energy cost vs LED. Save a couple bucks up front but the cost to use these eats it up fast.
Personally I prefer incandescent tree lights because no LED mfr makes the same color scheme (or if they do they ruin it with very obvious PWM), but this isn't any better than the Holiday Living 100pks we routinely use.
The holiday living 100pk multicolor uses about 40W per string and you can chain up to 5 of them per outlet.
As a user of both Tru-Tone LEDs inside and OptiCore LED C9s outside, I'm a prime candidate for mini tree light LEDs but there's nothing good yet.

The difference in outdoor C9 incandescent vs LED was similarly huge. Plus outside with the LEDs, you can basically string lights forever because they don't draw very much and still look great at night.

Thank you for pointing this out, it was overlooked when posting. I've updated the title

They aren't cheap, but their stuff is top notch and even the box is retro.

Is there anyone out there who does this already? Other than Tru-Tone, that is, which I'm guessing is (part of) what they do.
