I kinda dig these but I also kinda hate these. If they were cheaper though, I'd hate them far less.

Kudos to somebody, somewhere, for trying to make their speakers less bland though.

My wife said she is fine with redecorating the living room around these speakers.... really, I swear that's what she said. I'm not sure if she's coming back though

"Inconspicuous" in the description. It inconspicuous like a fire truck driving through your home.

*A compact form factor allows for inconspicuous shelf placement*

You'll never know they're there

Are you visually aware of your current speakers' presence? These are tiny.

I understand that this is a Revel, but those drivers are too small. Red Really?

These are pretty typical, and maybe even bigger, compared with all the other home theater surround package speakers, including sound bars.

This is no way priced to be alternative options to even bookshelf size speakers.

Black or white and I would bite. There's just no way the red can go in the living room.
Spray paint them.

Why an "LOL"? What do these normally sell for?

Revel is a well respected high end speaker brand but I normally track the higher end larger floor standers.

Good speakers for the price with the caveat that their low end +/-3b is 110hz. You *will* need a subwoofer.
Of course you will. You would set your crossover frequency on your AV Receiver at/around the rated low-end -- or even a bit higher, to taste and ideally based on actually testing, because a set of 5.x would be purpose built to fill in the .x with your 1 subwoofer, hence 5.1 surround sound.

Unfortunately, for most people the color would be a big turn off. Placing vibrant red speakers around your TV is a recipe for visual distraction except in a very dark room. Unless you can hide (but not interfere with) the Center and pair of front surrounds, it's going to draw your eye. Or... take it up as a DIY project and refinish in black or other preferred muted color.

Unless you just want to lean into the Red: https://www.walmart.com/ip/VIZIO-.../422383600

If you're watching tv in Best Buy showroom lighting, yes, you will notice them. Have you actually seen red speakers like this or the KEF in a typical room with just ambient light? You barely notice the color. Turn down the lights for a movie and you don't notice at all.
