Vitamin K supplements have a tendency of sending people to the hospital, you should really only get K from your diet unless under medical supervision or a short and mild dosage. It is NOT a chemical to play around with in the body.
The k2 comes in safe doses with the d3+k2 supplements, and you need k2 to keep the calcium in your bones. If you spend your time eating natto, sure, it won't be necessary, so it depends on your diet.

I'm D3 deficient (most Americans are), and I think my last reading was around 28...50 is ideal according to my Dr. She wants me taking 5,000 IU every day (I already was during the winter months, but she says I should take it 365).
Had no real interest in the ones listed, but I did see the words "Nature Made" and "40% off" so I went ahead and checked my 3mg Melatonin 240 count, 40% coupon was there, went ahead and ordered more
Thanks OP.

Please don't spread false information! 5,000 IU is about what the average person whois even mildly deficient needs to take per day. If you have certain health issues such as autoimmune ones, even autoimmune asthma you need more. I take 10,000 IU and have no asthma while on it. There are NO KNOWN safety issues ever when taskin 50,000+ IU's a day, over 150,000 IU's a day HAS been found to have some issues in some people BUT also is proven in some people to be the only thing to fix their autoimmune issues.
A "more normal" dose is 1,000-4000 IU a day, the average person is deficient in D by A LOT but if we pretend someone actually has a moderate level 1,000-2,000IU is the currently believe REQUIRED dose by naturopaths. ie: the people who actually want others to be healthy and not constantly going back to their DR and buying pharma and paying into that sick industry.
If you are concerned about dosage - DAYS DO NOT MATTER - you can take 50,000IU in a day and go weeks... Medically they often give 150,000IU in a shot all at once per month. Generally it is considered that in a month you should get about 50,000-150,000. The RDA's by the U.S. governement have long been proven complete BS and totally false for certain things. B3 is a great example. RDA is less than 1% of actual proven requirement by the liver even. This is why NOBODY get sick off those B-Bomb type Super pills... Conventional wisdom is actually embraced idiocy, don't feed into herd-logic.
Also, do you consume fluoride through water, toothpaste, processed meats, etc? You aren't absorbing much D if you do...... I don't consume nearly any fluoride and 10,000IU a day is perfect.
It sounds like you might know what you're talking about but I can hardly understand any of it.
So with "Save and Subscribe" I always see it can be a lot cheaper on the initial sign-up like this one is basically free. Is it common for people to get the 1st delivery for free and then cancel the "Save and Subscribe"
Ask yourself what you would do and then expect that other people will also do that.
To answer your question, yes. People often unsubscribe.
You'd be fine, some ppl take 10k. Just make sure you take K2 as well.
I monitor my blood levels, at 3000 iu I vary around above normal for Vitamin D. Depends on how much sun i get in the summer (and I get a lot, I cycle).
So winter, I can probably do daily 5000iu.
Also people, don't forget Vitamin D3 alone will not boost your immune system. Without Magnesium Citrate it won't absorb so you probably need to supplement that too. If you drink a daily Electrolyte mix you might get enough. I know Redmond Life Re-Lyte mix has quite a bit in it so if you drink that a couple times a day you should be good and not have to supplement.

I'm not here to say who's right and wrong. The proper way to go about it is to get blood tested, see where you're at and then supplement. I was supplementing 1000 IU a day, and I get alot of sun in the summer, and was still deficient. I bumped to 2000, still mildly deficient. 5000 put me at almost too high, so went down to 2x2000 a day and I'm at good levels now.
Like I said in my previous post, in the winter 5000 iu is likely fine given spending less time in the sun.
However, Vitamin D3 poisoning is a thing, granted it will take sometime to happen. Regardless. Get blood tested, see what you need. Blood tests are cheap, better to know than to just take an amount and guess. Especially from an argument on the internet.

When I broke my hip in 2 places in 2020, my orthopedic doctor had me on 40,000 IU of D3 per day for 3 months. Long story short, I didn't have surgery, just immobilized to let it heal naturally.
So I'd say @PV9685 is not wrong.

I think you meant to say 400 IU is the recommended dosage and 4,000 is the max recommended with exception of some disease (see Pubmed, Mayo Clinic, WebMD, etc) but i understand without your lack of any citations you probably just misspoke and weren't trying to spread "false information."
